The Provincial Progress Review and Planning Workshop of PLGSP Madhesh Province was held on 30 Kartik 2082 (16 November 2025). The program was chaired by the secretary and PLGSP`s Provincial Program Director Mr. Yamendra Upadhyay, where the Officiating Chief Secretary Mr. Lal Babu Kawari served as the Chief Guest.

The workshop brought together province secretaries, the Executive Director of PRTC, the Provincial Account Comptroller, officials from OCMCM and PRTC, the Head of the UNDP Field Office, and the PLGSP Technical Assistance (TA) team.
During the session, Provincial Program Manager Mr. Rohit Kumar Koirala presented the Annual Program and Budget for FY 2082/83, along with the progress achieved by PPSU and PRTC. Discussions highlighted several key issues, including the absence of a GESI Focal Person in OCMCM, delays in the Innovative Partnership Fund, and other operational challenges affecting implementation. 

Despite the adverse environment caused by ongoing political tensions, the workshop successfully convened a number of OCMCM secretaries and officers, demonstrating a strong commitment to assess the situation and strategize ways to continue program activities under current circumstances.

The workshop provided clear guidance for refining priorities, strengthening coordination, and addressing operational bottlenecks. It also offered a shared direction for enhancing planning, system strengthening, and capacity-building initiatives across provincial institutions.
