A three-day orientation on the Personnel Information System (PIS) was successfully conducted in Janakpurdham by the Provincial and Local Governance Strengthening Programme (PLGSP) and the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers (OCMCM) of Madhesh Province. The training that begun on June 16, aimed to enhance governance efficiency by strengthening the technical and operational capacity of provincial officials to manage personnel data more effectively.

The event was organized in close coordination with the Department of National Personnel Office (Civil) (DNPC) and brought together 30 staff members from Provincial Government offices, comprising administrative branch chiefs, computer officers, and personnel from the DNPC.

The orientation focused on three key components: System Update and Testing, Onsite Coaching, and Orientation on Personnel Administration and Technical Use of PIS. This initiative directly contributes to PLGSP’s objective of building stronger provincial governance systems through effective and transparent personnel information management.

The event concluded with a shared commitment to regularly update and validate employee data in the PIS, institutionalize refresher training for relevant staff, strengthen coordination with the DNPC for ongoing technical support, assign dedicated personnel for PIS management in each office, and monitor the system’s overall impact on personnel administration and governance.
