The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence program was held in Karnali Province on December 10, 2023, organized by OCMCM, PLGSP, PPIU, MOSD, and EUSIF. The program was jointly inaugurated by Hon. Minister Khdaka Pokheral from the Ministry of Social Development, and the chief guest was Hon. Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma from the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers. During the event, the Chief Minister signed a banner to mark the formal inauguration. Participants included Provincial assembly members (MPs), Deputy Mayors/Vice Chairs, Secretaries, GESI focal persons from provincial ministries, development partners, academia, CSOs, and media. The Chief Minister delivered remarks on GBV and the Provincial Program Director presented on the 29-point declarations and their implementation status in Karnali Province. A joint action plan was developed, and commitments were made for its implementation.
