Provincial Programme Implementation Unit (PPIU) of Provincial and Local Governance Support Programme (PLGSP) organized a one day review programme in Janakpurdham in Madhesh Province which was attended by a total of forty four participants representing the Vice-Chairperson of the Province Policy and Planning Commission; Principal Secretary of the Madhesh Province Government; National Programme Director and National Programme Manager of PLGSP from the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration; Secretaries of the Provincial Ministries and heads/representatives from their institutions; associations of the Local Governments namely, MuAN and NARMIN; Development Partners; officials from the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministries (OCMCM) including the Provincial Programme Director and Provincial Programme Manager; officials of the Provincial Research and Training Center(PRTC) including the Executive Director; and PLGSP TA staffs.

With an objective to impart knowledge on PLGSP among the newly arrived Secretaries, the review program commenced with a brief presentation on PLGSP and its implementation modalities in order to achieve the overall goal of attainment of functional, inclusive and accountable provincial and local governance. The review programme highlighted the achievements of PPIU and PRTC, issues and challenges of the Programme and was followed by a plenary discussion that provided suggestions for the effective programme implementation.
