Provincial Training Academy (PTA)/ Provincial Center for Good Governance (PCGG), Lumbini Province organized a consultative workshop for ITOs working in LGs. The objective of the workshop was to discuss on current challenges of ICT related tasks in LGs, identify capacity needs of ITOs and provide some technical skills to them.  The workshop was organized in three clusters (Cluster 1 and 2 in Rupendehi, Butwal from 17-20 January and Cluster 3 in Dang, Goharahi from 26-27 January) two days each. Total of 106 IT officers and Technical person participated form 106 Local Governments.

The workshop was divided into consultation sessions, and technical sessions. Consultation sessions included presentations from Office of Chief Minister and Council of Ministers (OCMCM), PTA and Information Communication and Technology Pratisthan (ICTP). Consultation session ended with collection of capacity developments needs of participants in four different thematic areas (Technical Assistant, Data & Information Management, Communication and correspondence and Inter Government Relationship). Technical sessions were conducted on data visualization using web-map and Js charts.

The programme was chaired by Mr. Moti Prasad Sharma, Executive Director of PTA and Mr. Narayan Prasad Sharma Duwadi made his appearance as chief guest. Mr. Naryan Prasad Sharma Dawadi presented on Role of Local Governments in constitution with responsibilities and interrelationships, Mr. Moti Prasad Sharma on PTA introduction, Mr. Anup Baskota, Executive Director of ICTP on E-Governance implementation status in Nepal and at Province level and current trend in ICT. The technical sessions were facilitated by Mr. Bansaj Pradhan, CEO of Nepware Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Kamal Lama Senior Software engineer of Nepware Pvt. Ltd. on data visualization using Web-Map and Js chart.
