Induction Training Begins to Strengthen the Capacity and Performance of Newly Appointed Staff

Service entry training to Assistant level-5th staffs of Province government has began at PRTC Janakpur form 29 September 2026 (13 Ashwin 2083) and training will continue for 7 days.  The training aims to strengthen their work performance, professional conduct and practical skills for effective public service delivery.

A total of 26 newly appointed staff from different service groups are participating in the training including 11 women. The training is designed to help new staff understand their roles and responsibilities and apply their learning in their daily work.

Training Modules

The training covers five key modules. These include office operation and management, financial administration, public service delivery, contemporary issues and information and communication technology, and effective performance, personality development and work efficiency. The sessions cover practical areas such as correspondence and recommendations, note and proposal writing, meeting management, records management, government accounting, public procurement, audit and control, good governance, right to information, anti-corruption, digital skills, grievance management, stress management and result-oriented performance.

Opening Session

The opening session was chaired by Babali Mehta, Executive Director of PRTC. Parbati Sharma, Provincial Secretary, attended as the Chief Guest. Yam Nath Giri, Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst, PLGSP, also attended the session. Ayush Sharma Ghimire, Section Officer, PRTC, welcomed the participants and highlighted the objectives of the training, and Ms. Rani Khatun, Section Officer, was the Master of Ceremony.

Addressing the session, the Provincial Secretary emphasized that the training would help improve participants’ work performance. She also highlighted the importance of professional conduct and behaviour among newly appointed staff for strengthening public service delivery. She noted the contribution of PLGSP to strengthening the governance capacity of provincial and local governments.

Expected Contribution

The training will help newly appointed staff apply their learning in their daily work. It will strengthen their basic administrative, financial, service delivery and digital skills. It will also support professional and institutional development. The training contributes to PLGSP’s broader goal of strengthening government capacity and improving the quality of public service delivery.
