On February 15, 2024, the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers (OCMCM), Provincial and Local Governance Support Program (PLGSP) and Provincial Program Implementation Unit (PPIU) conducted an orientation program on Fiduciary Risk Assessment (FRA) at the OCMCM Hall in Surkhet. The participations were 17 from the focal person, FRA committee members and other related officials from all 7 ministries of Karnali, including the OCMCM. Participants actively engaged in the event, committing to finalize the fiduciary risk assessment by March 3, 2024.
The program was headed over by Mr. Ananda Saru, the Secretary and Provincial Program Director of PLGSP, with section officer Mrs. Gita Baraie Magar facilitating the formal session. Mr. Saru emphasized the importance of adhering to the Karnali Province Fiduciary Risk Assessment Guideline-2022 for effective implementation and fiscal governance maintenance. The technical aspects of the session were led by Tulasi Prasad Shrestha,  PFM Expert, and Avilash Chakrawarti, IT & E-Governance Expert. The primary aim of the program was to train participants with a thorough understanding of the fiduciary risk assessment process, the technical know-how for developing a Fiduciary Risk Reduction Action Plan (FRRAP), and the operation of the Provincial-FRA portal.
