The Third Provincial steering committee meeting of PLGSP, Madhesh, was successfully held on the 25th of Jestha, 2083 BS. The meeting was chaired by Honorable Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Shri Krishna Prasad Yadav, and Honorable Finance Minister Yubaraj Bhattrai also attended the meeting. The high-level meeting brought together key provincial leaders, ministerial secretaries, and local government representatives to review ongoing progress and chart the strategic course for the upcoming fiscal year.

During the session, the committee reviewed progress of the current fiscal year 2082/083, and the committee directed PPSU and PRTC for rapid execution to expedite all remaining activities. The meeting was facilitated by the PPD, Mahesh Baral, and Mr. Arjun Kumar, who presented the progress of the previous FY and PASIPB for the upcoming FY.

A major milestone of the event was the official approval of the Provincial Annual Strategic Implementation Plan and Budget (PASIPB) for FY 2083/2084. With a total budget allocation of NPR 90.05 million, the newly approved plan heavily targets local government strengthening, public financial management, and e-governance.

Furthermore, the PSC officially initiated the next cycle of the Innovation Partnership Programme (IPP). The meeting was directed PPSU to publish a public call for concept notes to invite innovative local projects. The Honorable Chief Minister concluded the meeting by emphasizing the critical need for administrative dedication, timely execution of the approved budget, and the continuous enhancement of capacity-building initiatives to institutionalize cooperative federalism across Madhesh Province.
