Provincial Steering Committee Meeting Held
On 19 November 2025, a meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee (PSC) was convened to review programme performance, endorse strategic priorities, and provide policy-level guidance for effective implementation in the forthcoming fiscal year. The Committee reviewed the overall progress of programme implementation for Fiscal Year (FY) 2081/82 and, while acknowledging the achievements made during the period, directed the programme team to present a comprehensive SWOT analysis in the next review meeting to facilitate deeper strategic assessment and evidence-based decision-making.
The PSC approved the Provincial Annual Strategic Implementation Plan and Budget (PASIPB) for FY 2082/83 and instructed the concerned units to prepare a detailed and time-bound implementation timeline to ensure clarity, accountability, and timely delivery of planned interventions.
To strengthen technical coordination, oversight, and support to provincial and local governments, the Committee approved the formation of the Provincial Technical Assistance Committee (PTAC) in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
The PSC also took key policy decisions related to the Innovative Partnership Fund (IPF), including the adoption of the revised IPF Guidelines, 2082, and resolved that all IPF projects would henceforth be processed strictly in line with the revised framework. Further, the Committee decided to invite concept papers from all Local Governments, including those that had applied in the previous fiscal year, to promote inclusivity and competitive selection. In order to ensure equitable geographic distribution of resources, the PSC resolved to support only one IPF project per district. Additionally, the Committee agreed to request the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) to permit the merging of unspent IPF liability budget from FY 2081/82 with the allocation for FY 2082/83, enabling effective utilization of funds within FY 2082/83.
