Narayan Prasad Regmi, currently working as a Joint secretary in the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration. Before joining this Ministry, he worked for Ministry of Economic Affairs, Sudurpaschim Province as Province Secretary. Mr. Regmi has started his civil service career in 2010 at the Ministry of Science and Technology as planning officer and later he served as an undersecretary in the Ministry of Culture Tourism and Civil Aviation. After being promoted to the Joint Secretary he has served at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Inland Revenue Department under the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, and Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies.

He obtained his PhD on Inclusion from Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich (Germany) in 2017. He was a Teaching Assistance in Tribhuvan University before Joining civil service. He was involved in different capacities in policy research including labour migration, social inclusion, public governance, international trade and entrepreneurship development. He was conferred Mahendra Vidya Bhusan “GA” in 2003 and Nepal Vidya Bhusan “KA” by the President of Nepal for his outstanding achievement in academic field in 2017.
