The In-Service Training to 9th and 10th level officer of Madhesh Province kicked off with support of PLGSP with aim of strengthen provincial administration by equipping officers with relevant skills and knowledge. This event aimed to support personality development and improve service delivery by enhancing the knowledge and capacity of 9th and 10th level officers of the provincial governments. 37 officers of the province ministries and institutions participate in 1st training for higher level in the history of PRTC Madhesh province.

The training was inaugurated by the Principal Secretary of Madhesh Province, Mr. Madan Bhujel, in the presence of senior officials including Mr. Sohan Sah, Vice Chairperson of the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, and secretaries from various ministries. During the event, the speakers emphasized that effective service delivery depends on capable and dedicated civil servants. Mr. Bhujel and other dignitaries shared that this training is not just a routine event but a valuable opportunity for transformation, urging all participants to take active part in the learning process. Mr. Sattar Ansari, Executive Director of PRTC, highlighted the significance of this initiative, noting that Madhesh Province is the only province among the seven to organize such training for 9th and 10th level officers. The training also aims to develop a group of resource persons within the province who can contribute to future knowledge-sharing activities. Key areas of focus include experiential learning, regular knowledge updates, balanced policy-making, and ongoing professional development. This effort reflects PLGSP’s strong commitment to building institutional capacity, supported by dedicated budget allocation and administrative backing.

This training program directly supports PLGSP’s objective of strengthening subnational governance by developing the competencies of provincial staff. Officers are expected to implement learnings in their offices, contribute to improved public service delivery, and play a leading role in provincial development and reform.
