PLGSP-Madhesh Province successfully conducted a two-day orientation program for nine Local Governments (LGs) whose concepts have been selected to move forward to the full proposal stage under the Innovative Partnership Fund (IPF). This in-person session built on the initial virtual mentoring session (Organized on 30 May) and focused on providing practical, hands-on guidance to help LGs develop high-quality proposals.

A total of 25 participants, including LG Chiefs, Chief Administrative Officers (CAOs), and IPF focal persons, actively participated in the program.

During the event, each LG presented its proposed concept, reflecting a range of innovation-driven approaches focused on enhanced service delivery, local economic development, eco-tourism promotion, and other key thematic areas outlined in the IPF Guideline. The PLGSP team, including the Provincial Program Director and Provincial Program Manager, provided detailed feedback and hands-on mentoring. Participants were guided through the IPF full proposal template to ensure proper framing of their ideas in line with evaluation criteria.

This orientation marked a critical step in enabling LGs to refine their project ideas into fully developed proposals and move toward successful implementation. The session contributed significantly to PLGSP’s broader goal of promoting innovation, capacity development, and service delivery transformation at the local level.
