Provincial Coordination Committee (PCC) meeting concluded in Madhesh Province

The Provincial Coordination Committee (PCC) meeting of the Provincial and Local Governance Support Programme (PLGSP) of Madhesh Province was organized by the Provincial Programme Implementation Unit of PLGSP in Janakpur on 03 March 2023. The meeting was chaired by the new Hon’ble Chief Minister, Mr. Saroj Kumar Yadav and was attended by the PCC members and the invitee members namely, Mr. Nathu Prasad Chaudhary, the new Vice-Chairperson of the Province Policy and Planning Commission of Madhesh Province and Mr. Satar Ansari, the Executive Director of the Provincial Research and Training Center. 

The Provincial Programme Director of PLGSP, Mr. Nurhari Khatiwada made a presentation on introduction of PLGSP including its objectives, institutional arrangement and role of PCC for the effective programme implementation and the progress achieved by the Provincial Programme Implementation Unit. Similarly, the Executive Director of Provincial Research and Training Center, Mr. Satar Ansari presented the progress of PLGSP activities carried out by the Provincial Research and Training Center (PRTC).

The PCC members reviewed the overall progress of PLGSP made by the end of the second trimester of this current fiscal year (2022/23), approved seven new innovative projects to be implemented by the local governments under the innovative partnership fund of PLGSP and were further briefed on the provision of 80% budget contribution of PRTC and 20% contribution of respective LGs for the preparation of Revenue Improvement Action Plan, Capacity Development Plan, Internal Control System, and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Strategy.
