MoFAGA/PLGSP successfully conducted a four-day residential Training of Trainers (TOT) training on “Capacity Development of Officials of Provincial Center for Good Governance” from 22-24 December, 2022. As part of PLGSP collaboration, the programme was led and conducted by National Administrative Staff College. The programme was opened and inaugurated by the National Program Manager (NPM)- Mr. Hemraj Aryal. In total 23 participants participated of which 21 percent were female. The participants included section officers and other senior officials from PCGG and Curriculum Experts and Capacity Development Experts as Technical Assistant. The training aimed to equip participants with skills in setting up and implementing results-based monitoring and evaluation systems. The training focused to strengthen PCGG and the associated staff on capacity building need assessment and designing effective curriculum. The participants benefitted from the latest practices on governance and management of training centers, competency frameworks, tools on needs assessment and situation analysis and training cycle management as a whole.

The entire training was facilitated by team of experts from pool of NASC including major sessions facilitation by Uttam Uprety, an expert in the field of Human Resource Management. Other resource person included, Rajendra Adhikari, Trilochan Pokharel, Shiva Hari Adhikari, Shaileja Upadhyaya etc. to name a few. The training engaged all the participants through use of various methodologies and principles like learning by doing, learning engagement, innovative and critical approach, open and honest discussions, and agree to disagree.

During the training tenure, the participants learned about training need assessment, competency framework and management and governance of training centers on the first day. On the second day the training focused on setting objective and course design and contemporary training methodologies. On the third day the training delved on presentation and facilitation skills, use of interactive aids and training management and evaluation. The last day focused on orienting all the participants on the cross-cutting issue of WASH organised by NARMIN. It focused on incorporating the issue in various trainings and the last day focused more on integrating the issue in various training programs
