The Provincial Programme Support Unit (PPSU), PLGSP Karnali successfully commenced a 3-day training on Public Procurement Management System (E-GP) for district-based procurement and financial officials from Surkhet, Mugu, Dolpa, and Humla.

The training inauguration session was held in the presence of Provincial Secretary Mr. Laxmi Kumar BK, PLGSP Provincial Program Director, and Mr. Bidhhya Prasad Upadhyaya, Provincial Program Manager, reflecting strong leadership and commitment from the province for effective procurement and service delivery.
This marks the third training event of this fiscal year, following the successful completion of two similar programs for other districts of Karnali Province.

🎯 The training is designed with a combination of theoretical and practical sessions, along with issue-based discussions addressing challenges faced by provincial offices in Karnali. The program aims to strengthen systematic procurement practices, reduce audit arrears, and contribute towards improving the capital expenditure performance, which has remained low in recent years.

💡 Overall, the initiative focuses on enhancing the capacity of government staff for efficient, transparent, and timely electronic procurement (E-GP) systems.
