The province and local governance strengthening programme (PLGSP), Madhesh Province organized the three-day intensive training on Website and E-Attendance Management and Maintenance from 16 to 18 June 2026 at Mithila Bihrai Municipality, Dhanusha.
The three-day intensive training successfully established a practical foundation for transitioning local ministries toward effective e-governance, aiming to strengthen public trust and ensure faster, more accessible citizen services. Directly supporting the federal government of Nepal's 100-point commitment to promote digital governance, transparency, and paperless public administration, this event equipped provincial bodies with the tools and institutional mindset needed to replace traditional paper-based workflows with transparent, traceable digital systems. The programme brought together key provincial personnel, including participants from various Provincial Government (PG) ministries, the OCMCM office, and PG official staff.
The training focused on hands on learning around Content Management Systems (CMS) and E-Attendance frameworks. Key highlights included mastering modern CMS platforms for decentralized, cost-effective website updates and improving information discoverability for citizens. Discussions also prioritized web security, teaching staff how to proactively identify vulnerabilities and protect citizen and employee data. Furthermore, the training emphasized that rolling out e-attendance systems is a major step toward eliminating manual errors, building workplace fairness, and reducing administrative workloads so teams can focus on core public support functions.
Moving forward, participants will begin applying these CMS and e-attendance practices within their respective offices, managing digital risks proactively and guiding their teams through this technological shift. By fostering this institutional and behavioral change, the event strongly contributes to PLGSP’s overarching goal of building efficient, transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance across Madhesh Province.
