Rolpa and Rukum (East)

PLGSP Lumbini Province recently organized a joint monitoring visit to Rolpa and Rukum East districts. The visit aimed to assess physical infrastructure, including roads, drinking water, irrigation, and bridge construction. Additionally, interactions and field observations were conducted in Triveni Rural Municipality, Rolpa, and Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality, Rukum East, focusing on coordination and collaboration between the provincial government and local levels. A total of 16 activities were observed during this visit.

Key Objectives:

  • To assess the implementation and progress of the Innovative Partnership Fund under the PLGSP program in Triveni Rural Municipality, Rolpa, operated by the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers.
  • To review the implementation status, outcomes, achievements, and effectiveness of activities executed by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development at the local level.
  • To facilitate discussions and exchange experiences on the strengthening of federalism and intergovernmental coordination with local governments.
  • To institutionalize the joint monitoring system.

This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing provincial and local collaboration and ensuring the effective implementation of development projects.
