A comprehensive three-day training session on Financial Management systems (PTSA, CGAS, RMIS, FMIS, MFMIS) for Provincial Officials commenced on January 23, 2024, in Biratnagar. The federal government has successfully implemented the Computerized Government Accounting System (C-GAS) across its offices at both the federal and provincial levels. This implementation aims to streamline the preparation of various economic and financial reports, including the efficient tracking and reporting of expenditures for development projects. In alignment with these advancements, the Nepal Public Sector Accounting Standard (NAPSAS) has been instituted to provide guidance for transparent financial reporting concerning income, payments, and assets of both federal and provincial governments.

The training witnessed active participation from officials representing all Province Ministries and agencies. Conducted by experts from the Ministry of Finance and the Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO), namely Mr. Dilli Adhikari and Mr. Manish Bhattarai, the program was inaugurated by Mr. Kshitish Bhattarai, the Province Program Manager, and Mr. Damodar Khatri, the Province Finance Comptroller.
