Stakeholder Engagement Consultations for the Reprogramming of PLGSP

Concluded in Madhesh Province

Series of consultations with a wide range of stakeholders took place in Madhesh Province from 20 to 22 August 2023 as part of the stakeholder engagement consultations for the reprogramming of the Provincial and Local Governance Support Programme (PLGSP). The consultations were made with the honorable provincial ministers; senior provincial staffs from the province ministries and their institutions; local government representatives (women Dalit, and minority groups); elected representatives of the local governments and their staffs including the staffs from the service delivery sectors, namely the education, health, drinking water, agriculture and roads; and the representatives from the Madhesh provincial chapters of local government representatives (MuAN and NARMIN). The consultations were facilitated by two external consultants who have already conducted similar consultations in Sudur Paschim, Karnali, Lumbini and Koshi Provinces, and the remaining provinces, namely the Bagmati and Gandaki will follow the same in coming days.
